General:
A small but luxurious Victorian townhouse hotel in a small street in South Kensington. From the street, you can see the magnificent building of the Natural History Museum. When entering the hotel, you will see beautiful interior decoration consisting of dark brown oak panels, plush curtains and sofas with rich fabrics.
Bedroom:
Like many Victorial townhouses, bedrooms are not huge but they are nicely decorated. Flower print duvet covers and cusions together with old furniture make you feel you are in an English country house.
Bathroom:
Nice and clean.
Restaurant:
No restaurant. It has a breakfast room in the basement.
Lounge:
As the name suggests, many oil paintings are displayed on the walls of the hotel. The lounge is one of the hotel's best features. Absolutely beautiful. Apart from the main lounge, the hoel has a library called "The Morris Room". Named after the famous English designer in the Victorian era, the decor incorporates elements of his work.
Location:
A five minute walk from South Kinsington tube station, from which you can get to central London in ten minutes. There are plenty of trendy cafes and restaurants in the area. The Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are in walking distance. You can stroll to Kensington Gardens too.
